Altynai is Knowledge Space Coordinator in the Center for Natural Resources and Sustainability at Kazakh-German University. Her duties also include managing Central Asian Journal of Water Research and the Central Asian Journal of Sustainability and Climate Research. Her research interests include tourism, demography, and sustainable development. Altynai holds MA degree in Human Geography from Indiana University, USA, and MA degree from Kazakh National University. Altynai is a fellow of the Faculty Development Program (Soros Foundation), and Summer University of Demography (UNFPA). Altynai’s professional experience includes a lecturer position in KIMEP, where she taught Research Reading Writing, Natural Resource Management, and Human Geography.
