Project goals

• Identify barriers and empowerment opportunities for women in the energy/renewable energy (RE) sector in Central Asia on the basis of the survey conducted from May till July 2022, existing research and project activities.
• Empower the younger generation of women by organizing a series of awareness-raising seminars and study tours to energy companies. These initiatives will facilitate the exchange of experiences, introduce role models, provide hands-on experience at energy facilities, educate about opportunities offered by NGOs, local and international organizations, and foster dialogue among stakeholders.
• Enhance the knowledge and skills of female students and young women professionals in renewable energy, green energy technologies, and energy efficiency.
• Attract more women to pursue careers in the energy sector and encourage them to choose STEM-related subjects during university through project activities.
• Assist young women in accessing entry-level positions in the energy/RE field and facilitate connections with peers and potential employers.

Young female energy or related field specialists, female students pursuing their studies in STEM disciplines, energy companies, academics, researchers, international organizations, policymakers, NGOs, women’s associations and other interested stakeholders from the Central Asian region, Afghanistan and Mongolia.
