CAWa Green Summer School in 2021 was held under the topic "Water in the Aral Sea Basin under Climate Change - Management and policy challenges from data and knowledge perspectives".
It was designed for passionate master's and PhD students, junior university teachers, researchers, and specialists who have a keen interest in utilizing geoscientific tools for managing integrated water and land resources in Central Asia. Participants who reside in the Central Asian countries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan were eligible to join.
The program covered various topics, including a comprehensive introduction to Geographical Information Systems (GIS), an overview of remote sensing applications for monitoring land and water resources, an introduction to climatological data analysis, and an overview of GRACE.
