Overview

The objective of the project

  • Raising awareness and expanding knowledge in the development and application of meteorological and climate services in the energy sector of Central Asia.
  • Capacity building in the application of weather and climate services to move towards net zero emissions in the Central Asian energy sector using international climate finance.
  • Demonstrating how climate data, such as those provided by the World Energy and Meteorological Center's (WEMC) Teal Tool, can be used to drive clean energy transitions in policy and industry contexts.
  • Promoting dialogue and partnerships between the hydrometeorological and energy communities in the region to address major energy challenges in the coming years.

Project beneficiaries

Professionals involved in the development of policies and measures, employees of energy companies, meteorological organizations, NGOs and scientists and other stakeholders from the Central Asian region.

Expected results of the project

The main focus and goal of the course is the practical use by the course participants of the meteorological and / or climate services.
