The first Mobility within the project Aral Sea Basin and Lake Chad Basin

On 27 of April 2024, Kazakh-German University (DKU) with support from the National Research University "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers Institute" (TIIAME) organised the first Mobility within the project Aral Sea Basin and Lake Chad Basin - a space for interdisciplinary knowledge generation and sharing for sustainable governance of river basins amidst climate crisis (ASB&LCB Space Project). The events took place in the lecture hall at TIIAME in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The Mobility included an offline lecture on International Water Law provided by Prof. Barbara Janusz-Pawletta (DKU) and an online lecture on Water and Security provided by Prof. Jude Tochukwu Omenma (University of Nigeria, Nsukka). Both lectures were devoted to students of TIIAME (23 in total) as a part of the knowledge exchange between the consortia universities.

After the lectures, the Project Meeting was held at TIIAME where project consortia partners involving DKU, TIIAME and UNN discussed further implementation of common project activities within the ASB&LCB Space Project.

The project includes apart from the universities involved in this Mobility, the IHE Delft, Intercommunity Development Social Organization (IDS) and the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, Kazakhstan (IFAS KZ).

2) Project meeting with defining the Teaching Module development as well as implementation of other activities
