Background of the project: despite having significant experience and knowledge in the region regarding climate change, adaptation, mitigation, and security, there are still gaps in the analysis of climate change, impact assessment on economic sectors, hindering the ability to make scientifically informed decisions in the field of climate change adaptation.

Purpose of the meeting: Raising awareness and utilizing information about the state of the energy sector.

The webinar will focus on reviewing climate risks and challenges faced by the energy sector in Central Asia. Regional information on the climate change implications for the energy sector will be presented, and discussions will be held on national strategies to overcome these risks. The webinar will also highlight the latest developments in climate-resilient energy transformation and future directions.

Additionally, an overview of gaps in science and education, a review of data platforms, and knowledge in the energy sector through the lens of climate risks will be provided

Webinar participants: Representatives of scientific and academic institutions, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, independent experts, young scientists and other interested persons.
